I hang my head and weep for the world.
Dear marketers...don’t. DO. MEMES!
Or talking animals.
or people in animal suites...
Just...no to this whole thing.

This commercial would make me NOT want to buy a VW

That’s uh... That’s something right there. Hope it wasn’t too terribly expensive.

I was seriously hoping it was just spec work, but nope.
Also, “this film has an inbuilt viral effect”
ugh

Why did the Cat at the end sound like Johnny No-Neck from Newark?

This is why I’ll never own a VW. I’m not weird enough to own one.

Because a social media meme related talking cat video to sell leases wouldn’t be complete without some geographical stereotyping. Seriously, though, this feel like a “wouldn’t it be funny if the cat had a Jersey accent?” from a producer followed by a huge internal facepalm and a happy nod and “yeah, we can do that” by the director.

Weird is only required for leasing apparently.

Living with a VW owner, I can tell you that weird is most certainly required for ownership too.

That makes me hate those people and VW
